everyone knows yellowstone hottest soundtrack in the history of television and cinema.
So Zach Bryan, Tyler Childers, Whiskey Myers, Ryan Bingham, Sturgill Simson, Rainie Wilson, Hayley Witters…perfect. And not only does the show have astounding music, but its reach has the ability to send artists to the top of the charts, something that may be unfamiliar to the casual country fan.
Dubbed (by us on Whiskey Riff) yellowstone effect, This show has the power to give underground artists the exposure they deserve. In some cases, you can even do more than appear on late-night TV.
But with that said, so far there’s another Taylor Sheridan project flying under the radar with some very good music of its own.
So the other night I messed around and decided to start watching one of them yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan latest show, Tulsa King And boy, does it live up to the hype.
I won’t spoil it, but I’ll summarize it briefly.
Famed actor Sylvester Stallone, who plays New York Mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi, just released from a 25-year prison sentence, finds himself in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Once he realized that his fellow gangsters might not be on his side, he decided to create a ragtag crew in Tulsa to fight the mob and go about business as usual in Oklahoma.
While watching, there was one element that immediately struck me…
The show also has very good music.
The music supervisor is Andrea von Forster, who does the music for all of Sheridan’s shows. yellowstone, To Mayor of Kingstown, 1883, and now 1923, And boy, she continues to impress.
