The family of a 39-year-old woman from Lake County is seeking help from the public to locate a woman who has been missing for three months.
Jess Porter, also known as Jess Porter-Sypniewski and Jess Quatraro, was last contacted in September.
Her last known location was near Belmont and Kezie Avenues in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood.
Porter is described as being 5 feet 9, 140 pounds, with dark brown or black hair and blue or green eyes.
She has several tattoos, including a lion on her right shoulder, a vine on her right collarbone, and a winged red heart that reads “Papa Girl” on her left arm.
He also has a star tattoo on his left forearm.
Porter, 39, graduated from Grayslake Central High School and previously worked at The Vine in Grayslake.
“She has a big heart and a great smile that lights up a room. She will always be a part of our family,” The Vine said on social media.
“With your help, we hope that she will be found soon so that she can return safely to her family,” the restaurant added.
A family friend told Lake and McHenry County Scanners that Porter’s parents live in Gurnee.
Porter grew up near Lake Villa and traveled between Lake, Kenosha and Cook counties.
The family initially contacted the Gurnee Police Department, but the case was transferred to the Chicago Police Department.
Porter is believed to be at risk of a mental health crisis and police said they could not pursue the case because she was considered homeless, a family friend said.
