For all professional baseball players, the day they were called to the show is truly an unforgettable moment. And Atlanta Braves infielder Vaughan Grissom was no exception. “Wow, it was really unexpected because it was late at night. I didn’t know Arcia and the others were injured, so I was completely caught off guard and completely shocked. For a long time, a lot of emotions. I cried and let it all out, but like I said, it was a great experience and a great opportunity.”
Grissom had a . 291 batting average in his short stint in MLB last year, with five homers and 18 RBIs in 124 at-bats. However, he had only three plate appearances in the playoffs. Nonetheless, Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos had already said earlier this month that Vaughan Grissom, who faces Orlando Arcia, has a chance at starting shortstop. Atlanta are internally looking for a long-term replacement after Dansby Swanson leaves.
