Atahan Uyaroğlu, 8, a third-year student at a private university in Şanlıurfa, supported a zero-waste project initiated by Emine Erdoğan, wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. A little student who made a frame out of collected ice cream sticks wrote a letter and sent it to Erdogan. Launched in 2017 by the Ministry of Environment, Urban Planning and Climate Change under the patronage of First Lady Emine Erdogan, the Zero Waste Project has led Turkiye’s fight against climate change. The initiative primarily aims to bring the country in line with sustainable development principles, prevent unmanaged waste and leave a “cleaner and more advanced” country for future generations. .
