In an NFL season full of crazy comebacks, Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars had their best results to date. As for importance, it doesn’t matter.
Lawrence was the deer definition in the headlights of the first half, throwing more interceptions than actual completions at one point as the Jaguars looked down the 27-0 hole. Under such circumstances, if the home crowd looks uneasy, they may just shut up and play scared. As the entire NFL world knows, that’s not what happened. (via USA Today)
After the game, Trevor Lawrence said, “I threw four picks in the first half, the guys next to me went on the attack, and the guys on the other side of the ball never lost faith in me.” “This is one thing he makes work easier. When you know you have someone who will believe in you in any situation.”
Lawrence lived up to the trust of his teammates with a spectacular second half that included three touchdown passes and a vital diving extension Complete a 2 point conversion.

The Jaguars QB also confirmed that he would take credit for defense.
“Our defense kept getting shut down. We’ve been in that situation before and we didn’t get that many points. That’s what we believe in for this team. What do you do when everyone believes?” If we didn’t believe in each other, we wouldn’t be able to do what we did today, what the offense could do to get back on its feet, and what the defense wouldn’t be able to do.”
Too much belief can burn you, but it can also lead to incredible things. Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars are proof of that.
