TODAY Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Cott shared an emotional moment with fans on Tuesday morning’s episode.
The pair were visibly teary-eyed and struggled not to cry as their co-stars discussed their latest hosting milestone.

“Today is a very special day for our family today,” host Craig Melvin announced during a special segment celebrating the pair’s five years of hosting.
“Exactly five years ago, Hoda Cobb officially joined Savannah as a co-anchor,” he said. “Be ready to reflect on the laughter, love and all the fun they shared with us all.”
A colorful montage began as we listened to Hoda’s official inauguration as today’s official co-host alongside Savannah.
The caster was then seen happily talking to the cameras in brightly colored outfits at gigs held over several days over the past five years.


The clip featured the pair enjoying cake, playing in the snow, hosting a New Year’s celebration, and interviewing personalities like Rod Stewart and Jennifer Lopez.
When the video ended, the hosts held back tears and hugged each other.
“What we show on TV is fun, but can you say what I love most is what’s not on TV?” Hoda asked, but Savannah countered that she was thinking the same thing. .
“You are my soul sister,” she said. “We are so lucky to be able to do this together. You held my hand five years ago and said, ‘Let’s do this.’ This is a once-in-a-lifetime joy. did.”
The segment came to an end as the entire cast toasted to Savannah and Hoda and their five years together on The Today Show.

When the duo returned on Tuesday, they looked refreshed and rejuvenated, and were dressed to match.

Fans didn’t have to go completely without host Savannah on vacation.
The host shared lots of celebratory photos on her social media pages while celebrating with her family.
Most of the photos were of Savannah and her family, including husband Michael, daughter Vail, 8, and son Charles, 6.
The close-knit group grinned at each snap and posed in matching pajamas.
But in one photo, as Savannah herself was quick to point out, Charles wasn’t sporting a cheerful smile.


When the little boy turned away from the camera with a sour look on his face, Savannah captioned the image, “Not so hilarious.”
The newscaster then posted a photo of the family’s “cozy gingerbread village,” joking that it resembled a “crime scene.”
