“Fortunately people have weak memories,” D’Arienzo told News4JAX via Zoom. “And as soon as the team turns around and wins, they get excited and forget all the losses.

But fans are still dealing with the emotional whiplash from the team’s rise from worst to first.

“This year, yeah, it took me by surprise. I thought I might have a chance next year, but the fact that they played in such a bad division this year certainly helped,” said a Jaguars fan. Mike Graizek said.
