The Grove Wellington Guelph is a “one-stop-shop” for young people ages 12-26, including mental health, substance use, primary care, education, employment, training, housing, and other community and social services. Designed to meet a wide range of needs. As part of its programming, The Grove Wellington Guelph offers programs to help parents and caregivers become more involved in a young person’s mental health and wellness journey.
This month, The Grove Wellington Guelph partnered with the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW) to offer a comprehensive session for parents on how to have difficult conversations about mental health with young people.
CMHA WW Meghan Mills’ Mental Health and Promotions Team’s Youth Engagement and Education Coordinator will speak at the session. The purpose of these workshops is to normalize conversations about mental health and wellness while providing parents and caregivers with the tools to have difficult conversations with young people.
The session will be held at The Grove Fergus site at 900 Tower Street S, Fergus on January 17th from 7-8:30pm. This session will also take place virtually.
