Health experts recommend getting at least 7 hours of sleep per night. According to data from the 2022 County Health Rankings & Roadmaps, Tennessee is one of her six states with more than 40% of the population not getting an average of seven hours of sleep.
Nationwide, 35.2% of the population averages less than 7 hours of sleep per night, according to data compiled by the University of Wisconsin Institute for Population Health for their Health Rankings report.
