/EIN News/ — OAKLAND, Calif., Dec. 29, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Department of Nonprofit Wellness, Mutosai Cultural Heritage Center announces Sunrise Flow, a Chinese qigong class that enhances concentration and supports work-life balance. The class is taught by former corporate finance analyst Eileen Haustoe.
“As a financial analyst, I was exhausted and depleted,” said Eileen. Within 3 months of starting the training, she had no more numbness in her neck and hands, had significantly improved sleep quality, and was able to avoid surgery. ”
According to clinical trials“Qigong practice has positive medium- and long-term health outcomes, primarily for conditions such as burnout, stress, social isolation, chronic back pain, fatigue, and depression.”
Wudang Mountain is a famous pilgrimage site for Chinese Taoism and is world famous for its martial arts and natural medicine. The qigong movements Irene teaches come directly from this temple lineage.
“After experiencing my own transformation, I decided to travel to Wudang, China for a Taoist pilgrimage tour. I became a disciple of the lineage and made a pledge to pass the tradition on to future generations.I spoke with David Wei about teaching a qigong class because I couldn’t attend group practice after quarantine.” Houseto says.
Wudang West’s Managing Director, David Wei, explains how it all started: I returned to the East Bay and continued practicing every morning at Lake Merritt. I trained alone for months until the group slowly began to come together. We trained all over the lake until we settled in front of the Cathedral of Christ in Light in 2013 when lockdowns were lifted. We met six days a week. Once the dust settled, Irene took the initiative to restart everything. ”
‘Sunrise Flow’ qigong sessions are held every Monday to Saturday at 7:30am in the main courtyard of Auckland’s Cathedral of Christ of Light. The group gather rain or shine and at least he trains for an hour. For more information, see: www.wudangwest.com/morning-class.
