Here are some ways to take care of yourself emotionally.
surround yourself positively
It may not be possible to cut negativity out of your life completely, but you can actively try to avoid it. Stay away from news, social media, or people. Spend time with your pets, friends and family who bring positivity into your life.
build stronger and more meaningful relationships
To keep your emotional well-being in check, it’s important to have strong relationships in your life. So make an effort to spend time with your partner, children, grandparents, or best friends. Plan meals together, plan sleepovers, and have weekly video calls if you’re far away.

make time for yourself
Everyone needs time to recharge themselves. Connect with yourself as you build relationships with others. Take time to pamper yourself. Plan salon treatments, go on solo dates, or devote time and energy to your hobbies. Go to the gym, take the language class you want to learn, or travel to your favorite places.

You can’t please everyone. So be clear about what you will and will not tolerate from others. If you don’t want to do a certain thing, just say no. Be assertive about what you want rather than choosing attacks. You can set boundaries without being rude.

You may have been hurt in the past and carry a lot of anger and resentment. Try to get to the root of your emotions. Once you understand that, focus on letting go of feelings from the past instead of dwelling on it. Forgive those who have hurt you and don’t let their actions affect you.
