
Marshfield, Wisconsin (OnFocus) – Marshfield and the Marshfield High School Group of the Columbus Leadership Alliance (MCLA) sponsored their second annual districtwide student t-shirt design competition to show how connections can benefit mental health. increased awareness of what
MCLA is a student organization supported by MACY (Marshfield Area Coalition for Youth). The theme of the competition was CARING, COMPASSION, CONNECTIONS.
Over 260 designs were submitted and the Student Services team selected the top 10 designs. Students of all grade levels were encouraged to vote for the design, with nearly 1600 of her students voting.
The award-winning design is by Lauren Katzenberger.
“This is the second annual t-shirt design competition sponsored by MCLA. MCLA is committed to events that raise awareness of issues such as mental health, while fostering a positive atmosphere and positive relationships within the school. ,” said Joanne Greenlee, social worker at Grant School. “The t-shirt contest was a way to get students involved in an awareness campaign and create a tangible product that conveys a message.”
T-shirts can be ordered from Premier Printing from January 12th through January 26th.
- T-shirts will be worn on Friday 17th February 2023.
- Funds raised from t-shirt sales will be donated to a Marshfield school-based mental health consortium to help pay for mental health treatment for students who cannot afford it.
