    Mental health is an important component of our overall well-being. It includes not only how we feel, think and act about ourselves, but also our ability to make resilient choices and manage stress, hardship and change. It affects how you connect with the world, whether you succeed or not, and your physical health.

    Why is it important to take care of our mental health?

    Taking care of your mental health can help you balance your emotions, deal with stress, and boost your self-esteem. Many of us take mental health for granted, but it’s important to protect it as much as possible. Making meaningful New Year’s resolutions related to mental health is one way to do this.

    These solutions can be broad or specific. We need to focus on activities and practices that have a positive impact on our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. You don’t have to wait for the new year to incorporate these changes, but it’s still the perfect time to settle and stick with it.

    Dr. Chandni Tugnait, MD (Alternative Medicine), Psychotherapist, Life Coach, Business Coach, NLP Expert, Healer, Founder & Director – Some Ideas for Easy New Year’s Resolutions to Control Your Mind at the Gateway of Healing provided. Wellbeing in an ABP Live interview:

    1. monitor stress levels: By tracking your stress levels throughout the day, you can identify situations that cause high stress levels and deal with them more effectively. Many tools can help with this, such as apps and journals.

    2. develop a sound coping strategy: Developing a positive coping strategy is essential to effectively manage the difficult emotions and situations we face. This includes positive self-talk (remembering your strengths and successes), deep breathing exercises when you feel overwhelmed, planning fun activities during difficult times (like going to the movies, going out with friends, etc.), goal setting ( achieve great results). Break the task down into smaller achievable steps).

    3. try new things every month: Let’s broaden our horizons by doing something we’ve never done in 2023! This can range from exploring a new city or trying a dish you’ve never eaten before to starting a whole new hobby like gardening or playing the piano. This adds a burst of freshness to your routine.

    Four. Be gentle when setting goals: Try to break down your goal into achievable steps. Allow plenty of time for self-care as you move forward toward progress. By making healthy changes like these, you can accelerate your journey to improving your overall health, both physically and mentally.

    Five. live in the present: Focus more on living in the here and now, without worrying about past events or future possibilities. Practice mindfulness.

    The new year is a time to reflect on the past 12 months and plan for the next 12 months. Taking charge of our mental health doesn’t have to be difficult or overwhelming. You can make it as simple or complex as you want. By making New Year’s resolutions related to mental health, you’ll have more control over how you take care of yourself emotionally in 2023, helping you improve your physical, social, mental, financial, mental and behavioral health.
