LAHORE: The Pakistan Association of Clinical Psychologists (PACP) has issued a warning that mental health problems are expected to soar after the country’s ongoing political turmoil.
According to a press statement by PACP Professor Nasi Khan and Secretary Professor Saima Dawood, social situations inevitably lead to mental health disorders in society. Given this situation, the PACP feels obligated to voice its concerns about the ongoing political crisis in the country. They said they were concerned about escalating mental health issues, but said the PACP’s concerns were in no way political.
