The recession, layoffs and toxic work cultures in companies have become one of the main reasons behind student related stress and anxiety among young professionals and college students.
Rakshita ended up resigning because the work culture was so toxic.
“Our work and productivity were being tracked continuously and even the slightest drop was laying off. I’ve found a similar situation at a company: 6 people out of my team of 15-16 people have been laid off in the past month,” she added.

But it’s not just young professionals who are suffering. College students say the recession is affecting college placement.
It led to serious anxiety for me and my batchmates as the school year was coming to an end.

“Compared to other years, the current batch of placements has been slow. I am hesitant to apply.
“It has definitely led to serious anxiety for me and my batchmates, especially now that the academic year is also coming to an end. It is,” he added.
