Philadelphia (CBS) — The warm weather has left many in the Philadelphia area feeling mixed, and hardware stores are stocked with winter weather supplies. Some said it was warm, some said it was bundled up.
One thing is clear: there is only consensus about the weather these days.
“Sometimes I just crave ice cream,” said Valentina Velázquez.
The calendar may read mid-January, but best friends Jill and Valentina opted for summer sweets on Sunday afternoon.
Jill Toomey said, “I want snow because I don’t feel good without it.”
“The busiest time I’ve worked here was in the winter, when it was the only salt store in town and people lined up from end to end,” says Fairmount Hardware. said Betty Patete of

Some were shivering near the steps of the museum a few blocks away..
“I think it’s really cold today,” said Kasia Dilmisha. Mom gathered the little ones together. “Warm jackets, hats and gloves,” she said.
But the pair visiting from South America didn’t seem to mind the weather at all.
“We’re from Colombia, and we wear it like this in Colombia,” said one woman. “I have a dress.”
It was 28 degrees Celsius on Sunday in Colombia, so they seemed to be sending warm thoughts.
