TFW Sometimes I feel sick when I get too excited and my stomach thumps, or when I see something unpleasant. In today’s show, producer Barley McCoy looks at this connection between our gut and brain. Berly tells host girlfriend Emily Kwong about how organs evolved to be intimately connected—connections beyond temporary excitement and disgust. In fact, a growing body of research is showing links between the gut and conditions we normally associate with the brain, such as anxiety and Parkinson’s disease.
