LOS ANGELES, Jan. 24, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The NRC Research Institute is proud to announce the opening of its Center for Inclusion and Diversity in downtown Los Angeles. The Inclusion and Diversity Center will focus on clinical trials in multiple therapeutic areas including psychiatry, neurology, rheumatology, endocrinology and vaccine development.
Increasing the diversity of clinical trials is of paramount importance to NRC laboratories. Since its inception in 2005, investigators and study staff have focused on recruiting patients from diverse backgrounds. By expanding into the Los Angeles area, NRC laboratories will focus on recruiting patients from a small number of communities to participate in clinical trials.
“The NRC Institute has taken the initiative to expand into the diverse downtown Los Angeles area to increase participation in clinical trials. can have a direct impact on health equity,” said Chief Executive Officer Tony Ortiz, PhD.
