Dallas–(business wire) — Experian extends its commitment to providing dealers with the data they need to buy and sell used vehicles with confidence, announcing a new partnership with Recurrent, a battery range and analytics company. bottom. Through the Alliance, recurrent battery reports for used EVs are provided along with Experian’s AutoCheck report, the Industrial Strength Vehicle History Report (VHR). The Recurrent Battery Report provides additional data and attributes about EV battery health that other his VHRs don’t currently offer, including battery insights, weather effects, and more.
Dealers and consumers alike have historically looked at a vehicle’s mileage as an initial barometer of condition, but range and battery life are more beneficial for used EVs that were previously unavailable for VHR.Recurrent Battery Report is designed to bring more transparency into the used EV buying process, enhancing the information in the AutoCheck report that answers specific questions about buying a used EV.
“A new partnership with Recurrent will provide easy access to EV-specific data attributes for all parties looking to buy or sell used EVs. This is essential knowledge in today’s evolving market. ” “As EVs continue to grow in popularity, offering a recurrent battery report with AutoCheck report gives dealers a level of assurance previously unattainable when buying and selling used EVs, increasing transparency and helping consumers Anxiety about the cruising range of is alleviated. ”
The Recurrent Battery Report is designed to answer common questions from pre-owned EV buyers. Each report includes a range score that compares the vehicle’s current maximum range to the original range for its make, model, and battery pack configuration. For example, a range score of 94 means that the vehicle is expected to achieve 94% of its original range.
Generated by VIN-specific inspections that combine each vehicle’s historical and battery data, the Recurrent Battery Report compares your vehicle to thousands of other vehicles in the Recurrent database. Recurrent’s proprietary algorithms provide battery performance and range predictions for most manufacturers and his EV models. Additionally, the report gives projected range in a variety of weather conditions, which is often reduced in cold weather and is the range an owner should expect after his three years of ownership.
“Auto dealers are getting a lot of new questions from customers about range and battery health,” said Scott Case, CEO and co-founder of Recurrent. “How does actual EV range differ from EPA? How does subzero range fluctuate? And how does it change over time? Recurrent Battery Report provides these answers as a great complement to the existing AutoCheck VHR, providing a complete suite of solutions for used EV acquisition and sales. ”
Experian customers can now add Recurrent Battery Report to their existing AutoCheck subscriptions. To see more details about the new alliance and an example report, visit his Experian booth (#423) at the NADA show through Sunday.
