‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2’ actor Nakuul Mehta posted a photo on his Instagram handle with a long emotional note in memory of his late maternal grandfather (nanaji).
“My only surviving grandparent, Nana, passed away yesterday morning.
“But while there is an apocalyptic sense of knowing that the times have passed, and feeling that the roots of this tree of life are firmly rooted, nourished and loved… the branches and leaves are now All seasons must be weathered. How they persevere and continue to discipline will be a true and lasting tribute to this glorious life.”
Nakuul, famous for playing ‘Shivaay’ on the show ‘Ishqbaaaz’, also remembered the life lessons his ‘nana’ taught him.
“He gave me the best advice I could ever have. As an actor, he said, ‘Act and Withdraw.’ I had a manual,” he added.
The actor also said he used to talk with his grandfather on various subjects, including politics, and they would have ideological discussions.
Mr Nakul added:
“He practiced Hinduism, so he read the Quran and the Bible and decided to attend our Buddhist debates to become one with me.”
“Several years ago, the last time I sang to him under the guise of a bhajan was ‘Lambelgini.’ He played along and encouraged my antics. That was him… He was a friend, a guide, and one of the people I was most proud of.”
