‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2’ actor Nakuul Mehta posted a photo on his Instagram handle with a long emotional note in memory of his late maternal grandfather (nanaji).
he wrote: I don’t feel sad because I don’t know anyone else who has had a “fulfilling” life like he did.
“But while there is an apocalyptic sense of knowing that the times have passed, and feeling that the roots of this tree of life are firmly rooted, nourished and loved… Knowing that, we must get through all the seasons. Perseverance and continued discipline will be a true and lasting tribute to this glorious life.”
Nakuul Mehta, famous for playing ‘Shivaay’ on the show ‘Ishqbaaaz’, also remembered the life lessons his ‘nana’ taught him.
“He gave me the best advice. He said ‘action and withdrawal’ as an actor, and it had all the manuals I needed to attach and leave.” added Nakur Mehta.
The actor also said he used to talk with his grandfather on various subjects, including politics, and they would have ideological discussions.
Nakul added:
“He is a Hindu practitioner, has read the Qur’an and the Bible, and has decided to attend our Buddhist debates to become one with me.”
He concludes with an amusing note: He played along and encouraged my antics. That was him… a friend, a guide, one of the people I have always been most proud of. ”
