LA CROSSE (WKBT) – If you have a new year’s self-improvement goal, you’re not alone.
Over 38% of adults set a New Year’s resolution this year, but 1 in 4 of them give up by the first week.
But all hope is not lost.
Mayo Clinic Health System experts say the new year is a great time to refocus on mental health.
They also add that it’s important to set aside time to recharge as you strive to reach these goals.
“If you’re an introvert, reading or watching a movie might recharge you.” Maybe playing with your dog or just listening to music. Also, if you’re an extrovert, spending more time socializing might help you recharge. ”
Some mental health remedies you can try range from getting into a consistent sleep routine to trying out new activities and clubs.
And of course, make enough time for yourself.
