    UPPER MICHIGAN (WLUC) – Marquette Internal Medicine and Pediatric Associates (MIMPA) and Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson have signed a letter of intent for Marquette-based clinics to join Marshfield.

    The agreement will allow Marquette’s most prominent independent healthcare provider practices to align with Marshfield to continue providing much-needed primary care, internal medicine, pediatrics and neurology clinical services to residents of the Upper Peninsula. .

    According to a Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson press release, the partnership will focus on continuing to provide specialized clinical care in the market region while also exploring future growth of services within the region. We look forward to continuing our tradition of caring for our communities. Marshfield is thrilled to expand the treatment to Marquette and couldn’t have had a better partner in this venture than her MIMPA to grow its presence in Michigan. ”

    The next step is for the organization to create a final operating agreement, which is expected to be completed by the end of January. The final closing he will take place in March.
