    New Delhi, January 19

Actor Jacqueline Fernandez told a Delhi court on Wednesday that he manipulated her emotions and made her life ‘hell’ in a Rs 200 crore extortion case involving fraudster Sukesh Chandrashekhar. rice field.

In a case heard in the Patiala House court, she said her instincts led her to believe she was being put in a car when his aide, Pinky Irani, introduced him to her as a “government official.” He claimed to have told her.

Jacqueline said in a statement that he introduced himself as the owner of Sun TV and claimed that J. Jayalalithaa, the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, was his aunt.

“Chandrashekhar said he was a big fan and said that he should do a film in South India as well, and as the owner of Sun TV, they had many projects ready. We should work together at

“Skesh has misled me and ruined my career and livelihood,” she said.

Jacqueline said he learned later that he had been arrested for impersonating a senior Home Office and Justice Ministry official.

She claimed to have learned his real name only after learning of his criminal record.

The actor said Irani cheated on him because he never disclosed his background to her.

“Pinky Irani was aware of Chandrashekhar’s activities and background. But she never disclosed this to me,” she said.

The same court issued a notice to the Department of Enforcement (ED) on 16 January regarding an application filed by the actor seeking permission to fly to Dubai for professional work on or after 27 January.

She urgently requested a public hearing. Therefore, the court has listed the issue for her next hearing on January 25.

Last December, Jacqueline pleaded to travel abroad to visit her sick mother in Bahrain. However, she withdrew it because the court did not allow her to travel abroad.

Chandrashekhar allegedly extorted money from politicians, celebrities and businessmen. He defrauded Aditi Singh, wife of former pharmaceutical company Ranbaxy owner Sivinder Mohan Singh, for Rs.200 crore.

He is said to have sent Jacqueline a very expensive gift while booking a charter flight from Mumbai to Chennai while on bail.

Additionally, according to ED, an alleged con artist sent her a large sum of money extorted from Singh.
