Paulina Politskova talks about her mental health journey.

On Wednesday, the 57-year-old supermodel took to Instagram to reflect on her therapy experience over the past 17 years and shared a makeup-free selfie paired with a message for her fans.

In the caption of her post, Politskova began explaining that undergoing treatment raises a lot of questions.

“Being in therapy is an endless ‘why’,” she wrote. I know how. It’s almost a game.

Why am I so angry? Am I unworthy of being loved? There’s something inherently wrong with me. Why is there something wrong with me?”

The Swedish model noted that when these thoughts arise, her “therapist helps lead me out of this maze.”

“In doing so, you learn to recognize that your anger is a reaction to the pain the next time it boils over, and instead of venting your anger, instead of just putting the other person on the defensive and escalating your anger, Take it away like admitting you’re hurt — this can quickly disarm this particular war and lead to real conversations that can lead to real change .

Porizkova’s emotions were quickly met with supportive messages from fans in the comments.

“You literally saved me thousands of dollars with my therapist by overcoming my most universal doubts and fears about myself,” one Instagram user shared, while another The user added, “You said great, Paulina.”

“Thanks for sharing. Always this creates room for reflection. You’ve created a beautiful and honest community here,” someone else called out.

Another fan wrote, “Thank you for being a mental health advocate.”

“Thank you for sharing these powerful words! Words to start asking yourself before replying to your kids!” one person commented.

“We were unable to identify further in this post. Thank you,” another person added.

In May, the anti-ageing advocate wrote another message referring to her “fear of abandonment” and how it affected her relationships.

“I’m scared of abandonment, so I cling to people I like and then let them go. When I get some distance, I close the door first so they don’t leave me.” Mirror. “And it took me all the way into my 50s to realize this.

“Growing old is such a wonderful thing. If you allow it, you can expand your mind and your brain.”
