Sheresh Chandra says the transition from conventional fuels to the EV ecosystem is “inevitable.” - Highlighting the company’s launch, Chandra said the products cover all price points.

Speaking at Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2023, Chandra said:
“..I’ve seen 3000 chargers put down in the last 2-3 years or in the last year, this was not the case 4-5 years ago.

Chandra said the transition from conventional fuels to the EV ecosystem was “inevitable” and that the world of car companies would be “all electric” after reaching net-zero targets.
“…globally, it is recognized that we need to move very quickly towards zero-emission technologies, given the significant contribution of the automotive industry to emissions,” he said. In Europe and the UK, the timeline is positively defined to reach the net zero target by 2035.
Commenting on the affordability of Tata’s EV products, Chandra said: .
“As far as mainstreaming EV products goes, I think we’ve come a long way in terms of bringing a product that can,” he added, referring to the Tata Tiago EV.
Highlighting the company’s launch, Chandra said the products cover all price points, allowing people with multiple affordability levels to buy cars.
Tata Motors showcased 14 different vehicles at Auto Expo 2023. This includes 4 natural gas powered models, 2 fuel agonists, new generation architecture, 5 BEVs (battery electric vehicles) and 2 hydrogen fuel cells.
