El Paso, Texas — The Sacred Heart Church has seen increased law enforcement activity in recent days.
Texas State Police, U.S. Border Patrol, and EPPD were seen around the church.
Multiple reports and witnesses say migrants were arrested and pursued in Segundo Barrio.
ABC-7 spoke with some immigrants in the area and asked if this was true. Some claim Border Patrol officers physically abused them. ABC-7 has reached out to Border Patrol agents for comment.
Now immigrants are having trouble sleeping at night because they think they will be arrested by law enforcement.
With President Joe Biden’s impending visit, immigrants have high hopes that he will listen to them. They want new opportunities in the president. Because some people don’t want to stay in the US.
They say they are now passing by towards their final destination.
