Last Friday at 1:35 am, I was putting away the dishes.

No, I’m not a night owl. I stayed up late that night and got to work before I left for work that night.

No, I’m not a party person who just got home from a night out on the town.

No, I wasn’t taking care of babies or capricious dogs.

It was a matter of simple determination.

    Here’s the back story.

Earlier in the day, I was listening to Eddie Pinello’s podcast.in his motivational podcast called your world every day He mentioned Jim Rohn, another motivational speaker with a long history of articles on publications, public speaking, and productivity.

Jim talks about a life-changing moment that happened when he was just 25 years old. Little girl he knocked on his door where scouts were selling cookies. He was embarrassed to tell her he didn’t have the money, so he lied and had already bought the cookies from another scout.

When he closed the door, he was disgusted with himself.

At that moment, he realized that positive behavior could arise out of disgust if negative emotions were followed by decisions, aspirations, and resolutions.

I was listening to this same podcast maybe two weeks ago.

My reaction at the time was, “Poor Jim is in that situation and he’s sick of himself.” And that was it.

In this listening, I disgust Turn the lens on your life.

Start by recognizing that the negative emotion of disgust can motivate positive behavior.

    I’m a pretty positive person.

The last thing I feel in my life is disgust. I am very happy with my life.

When I listened to Eddie’s podcast for the second time, I thought: “Is there anything in my life that I’m sick of? Is there anything that I’m in control of and not taking action on?”

I’m a rotten housekeeper. I fully and freely admit that.

I envy people whose homes are always ready for guests. They don’t spend half a day preparing for the company that comes to dinner. Their home is already ready.

My house was never like that.

If disgust is the all-important emotion, the next action is decision.

Next, we decide to change the unpleasant situation.

There is nothing magical about cooking. Nothing involves a huge financial investment. Nothing prevents you from washing the dishes every night and tidying up before you go to bed. This is under my control.

Step 3, what do you want to replace the negative element with?

I want a clean house that is not embarrassing.

I have a strong desire to be a housekeeper, but I’m not going to change everything all at once.

Finally, resolve to take action. any action.

Out of disgust, I decided to put the dishes away every night before I went to bed.

Last Thursday night (early Friday morning) I washed the dinner plates and left them in the strainer. At the end of the night, I went back downstairs and crawled into bed.

In less than 12 hours, I had forgotten my resolve to “do the dishes.” This included clearing the dishes on the drying racks.

Rome wasn’t built in a day.

    Change doesn’t happen overnight.

    Habits take time to develop.

A few hours after returning to bed, I awoke with a strong desire to stick to this new resolution.

    Resilience Essential Lead

I got out from under the warm blanket, put on my slippers, went to the kitchen and put away those few dishes.

My resolution has been going on for over a week now.

This weekend is the New Year. The day many people make their New Year’s resolutions. Usually these solutions he breaks within a day or a week.

I suspect that by the end of January the majority will be completely forgotten.

But the root word is probably shared, but I haven’t made a resolution.

Rather, I am determined to make small changes in my daily routine to make the home more suitable for the company.

When the “washing dishes” routine is going well, I also add another home and resolve to have one that is always ready for company.

I believe that this determination will also lead to my creative activities.

When there are dirty dishes in the sink, part of you will always be obsessed with that negative, nasty feeling. affects the

By getting rid of negative emotions, we free our creative energy.

Committing to one positive action opens up space for more.

Think about the little areas of your life that you’re a little tired of.

Keeping your car clean? Finishing work? Are you unconsciously scrolling through the net?

Decide to eliminate the disgusting areas of your life. Have a desire to do better and a determination to continue until this new initiative takes root in your daily life.

Decide to spend more time on things that matter and more time on things that don’t matter.
