If you don’t like exercise or healthy snacks like carrots and hummus, you may be looking for an easier adjustment.
In fact, swapping out one of your daily coffees for another tea mix can be an easy way to adopt new solutions while improving your sleep.

“Studies show that chamomile tea may help improve the quality and duration of sleep.
“One study reported that people who drank chamomile tea for two weeks had better sleep quality and fell asleep faster than those who did not.”
This comes after Martin Seeley, sleep expert and CEO of Mattress Next Day, says January is the ‘worst month for sleep’, with many Britons suffering from insomnia and sleep disorders. It’s because of what you did.

According to Tea Advisory Panel (TAP) researcher and chemist Tim Bond, Ph.D., one sip of this herbal infusion can help you dream “in minutes.”
Dr Bond said:
“It’s estimated that it takes 30 to 45 minutes to feel sleepy after drinking chamomile tea.”

The reason this popular tea can help you sleep comes down to its “gentle” sedative properties.
Dr Bond said:
“Benzodiazepine receptors are the receptors with which prescription benzodiazepines interact to produce a sedative effect.
“Other compounds in chamomile may also bind to benzodiazepine receptors and produce sedative effects, but the role of these other compounds is less well understood.”
The best part is that it’s very easy to implement this tweak into your daily routine – you only need one cup a day.
A TAP study found that drinking a cup of German chamomile tea daily improved sleep quality.
“Have a cup of chamomile tea 30 to 45 minutes before bedtime to help you fall asleep,” adds Dr. Bond.
However, if you have been having trouble sleeping for months, or if you feel that sleep deprivation is affecting your daily life, the NHS recommends seeing a GP.
