we have to stop burning fossil fuels
In a recent article, “Extreme weather cost US more than $1 trillion in past 7 years, federal report,” scientists found that the imprint of climate change is the ubiquitous of numerous extreme weather disasters. It says it’s there.
We can stop climate change. We have burned fossil fuels to trap heat, unable to escape into space, and have covered the earth with pollution.
The good news is that by switching to clean energy, we can limit the rise in temperature. We have to stop burning fossil fuels. The Inflation Control Act will help the transition, but it should ensure faster change.
A carbon fee, whose proceeds go back to US households, is a climate policy that reduces carbon emissions across the economy without burdening consumers. It makes those IRA carrots even tastier! Call your lawmakers and ask them to take action and support a carbon tax and dividend policy.

How does Guncle Saidlight sleep at night?
But only half the population is indifferent to gun violence in this country. Every time there is a shooting, I tell his wife, “Thank you Republicans.” I don’t understand how right-wing gun activists can sleep at night when they are complicit in nearly every shooting.
For the far right, the Second Amendment is a shield against their deep-seated fears and misunderstandings. Unfortunately, the Republican and his NRA have pushed the gun agenda so well that Pandora’s box is wide open and there’s little chance of putting the genie back in the bottle.
The Republican hypocritical offer of prayer made me sick after the mass shooting. How can they offer prayers and thoughts when family victims stand at least partially responsible for the carnage they are perpetuating?
