Sleeping Trolls are large, powerful foes scattered throughout the various realms of God of War Ragnarok. These formidable enemies take no damage while sleeping, but can be awakened with the Mystical Heirloom Relic. Awakening them will allow you to battle them, and defeating them will give you valuable rewards and items that can be used to craft the best Steinbjorn armor sets in the game. You can also recover Kratos’ health during battle, so don’t miss it.

How to awaken Sleeping Trolls in God of War Ragnarok
If you want to awaken the Stone Trolls in God of War Ragnarok, you’ll need to acquire the Mysterious Heirloom Relic first. It is located in Midgard, southwest of the Temple of Tyr. You will notice a huge block of ice with a bright spot in the middle. Throw the Spear of Draupnir and detonate it. You can see the dwarf’s body on the ground, and the relic is also there.

Once you’ve equipped it in the menu and found a sleeping stone troll, you can wake it up by pressing L1 and Circle on your controller. .
All Sleeping Troll locations in God of War Ragnarok
God of War Ragnarok has 4 different Sleeping Trolls, 2 of which are in the same location. Awakening them requires the use of mystical heirlooms. where can i find them? You can see all stone troll locations below.
#1 – Abandoned Outpost, Midgard

The first troll is in Midgard, a short distance from where you picked up the mysterious heirloom relic. Called Blodugr Steinn, this troll can be found in his Derelict Outpost southwest of Tyr’s Temple.

Follow the trail past The Lost Treasury to climb the chain to reach the ruins, which can be easily found by following the trail on the left.
#2 – Forbidden Sands, Alfheim

A second Sleeping Troll called Bjarg Stormr can be found in Alfheim. Head southwest of The Forbidden Sands, especially The Burrows. You will see a grappling point that you can use to reach the upper zone, where you will find his second stone troll.

However, this area can only be accessed by secret of sand and the song of sand Good feeling. Doing so will stop the realm’s sandstorm and allow it to be fully explored.
#3 – Norton’s Garden, Vanaheim

The third and fourth stone trolls, Gorlub of Ash and Gorlub of Frost, can be found in Vanaheim. Follow the river from the Mystic Gateway at Frey’s Camp near the Delta River and go left. When you arrive at Noatun’s Garden, you’ll notice it right away.

Clear the area from all other enemies before you start fighting the two trolls. Otherwise, you may get in trouble during the battle.
How to kill a sleeping troll

These trolls rely heavily on the pillars they hold in their hands. They will try to knock you out with this weapon. However, the attacks are rather slow and you will see them coming, so prepare and dodge them.
When fighting Ash Gorlub and Frost Gorlub, focus on one troll at a time and make sure to avoid and finish off attacks from other trolls. After that, you can devote yourself to the second enemy without going back and forth between the two. Remember that you can count on the help of your peers too.
