HONOLULU (KHON2) — Stephen Brown, charged with murdering a North Shore woman and kidnapping his 8-year-old daughter, gave his moving testimony Tuesday, Jan. 10 at his trial. A Honolulu police officer burst into tears as he described what happened.

He then told jurors that he went upstairs to his bedroom and found Boynville’s daughter tied to the bed frame and her mouth taped shut.
“Tell the jury how she got married,” Deputy Prosecutor Scott Bell told him.
“There were ropes tied under her feet and hands,” Everland said.
He said the girl told him I miss her already. He also said he had trouble getting her little girl out of her house because he didn’t want her to see her mother’s body.
Brown, along with his then-girlfriend Hayley Danduland, are charged with murder, kidnapping and robbery. She is scheduled to face another trial on the same charges.
Bell called several HPD officers to testify on Tuesday. They told jurors that when Brown was arrested at the Mililani Town Center hours later, he was aggressive and repeatedly told officers to shoot him.
“He gave me his name. He told me to shoot him,” said Bryce Kim’s HPD Cpl.
“How many times has he said this?” Bell asked.
“Several times,” said Kim.
“He didn’t want to get in the car. He was just yelling,” said HPD Sgt. Chance Correa.
“Did he say anything in particular?” Bell asked.
“He kept saying you should have shot me. You should have killed me,” Correa said.
Defense attorney William Bagasol told jurors that Brown admitted to the kidnapping and robbery, but that it was Dan Durand who killed Boynville.
