There are no snakes on this plane.
The Transportation Security Administration shared a cheeky public service announcement on Instagram after agents discovered a 4-foot boa constrictor hidden inside a woman’s luggage. They made a startling discovery at Florida’s Tampa International Airport on Dec. 15, agency spokeswoman Lisa Ferbstein told CNN.
The traveler requested from the security guard that a snake named Bartholomew was actually her “emotional support animal” and that he be allowed to fly with her. Faberstein said in a tweet that he eventually banned Bartholomew from boarding.
“That bag has dangerous noodles…” the agency said on Instagram.
The social media post also featured an X-ray showing a boa constrictor coiled inside the woman’s luggage.
“Do you have a desire to carry a snake on a plane? He added that only a few airlines do not and will allow animals in checked baggage as long as they are properly packed.
Snake was not injured in the incident and was sent home, officials said.
