Dances for people with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders
10 weeks from 1:00 to 2:00 on Mondays from January 2nd to March 6th, no experience required. This class is intended for people with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders, but caregivers are welcome to attend. The goal of this class is to create community and experience joy through movement. The class structure follows a traditional modern dance class including warm-up, center and barwork, culminating in a final combination. Most of the class will be sitting and the second half will be standing. Students are invited and expected to make adjustments as needed.
This class is free to attend, thanks to the generous support of the Northwest Parkinson Foundation. Individuals with the means are invited to support such programs by donating to the Northwest Parkinson Foundation.
