come off whirlwind of fame Star WarsDaisy Ridley has kept things relatively off the radar lately. Ridley is back on social media early last year, recently announced that he is now married With plenty of projects lined up for the near future, her latest film premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. sometimes i think about dyingyes, it’s a much darker movie than the lightsaber fights we know the actresses of. 2023 movie release schedule Let more people experience its unique touch.

sometimes i think about dying It’s like a dark comedy that does unusual things that you don’t often see in movies. Let me. The film follows Fran, played by Daisy Ridley, an awkward young woman in Oregon who spends most of her day in an office cubicle, spending all day surreal images of her demise. I often immerse myself in the imagination.

What’s particularly striking about Daisy Ridley’s latest work is how it gracefully portrays someone with social anxiety disorder, which 12% of adults in the US reportedly experience at some point in their lives. . While it’s easy to think of living with social phobia as simply being shy, or even take it to a toxic extreme in the movies, sometimes i think about dying It subtly presents that reality in a cinematic experience.

It’s best explored through the exciting case of Fran hiring a new colleague rummy Actor Dave Merhehe’s Robert. Robert immediately takes an interest in Fran and invites her to the movies, which turns into a conversation over pie, but when he tries to get to know Fran on a deeper level, she becomes defensive. I don’t think it’s “interesting,” but it’s clear throughout the film that you want to engage with your colleagues and others. She’s just afraid to do so.

Social anxiety can be very debilitating, but it’s more than just staying home curled up with a book most nights. It can be as simple as fearing that your experience will be judged when questioned. sometimes i think about dying often comes to mind as Fran goes about his day, and shows him sitting alone with cottage cheese in the evening.

Director Rachel Lambert delivers engaging, often funny, and beautifully shot little films sometimes i think about dyingMuch of it consists of general dialogue that feels far removed from the blockbuster moments of Ridley’s career, such as Palpatine’s twist and Leiro’s romance. Even just being in the position of an introvert like the one we met in one way or another is very much worth getting on your radar.

Ultimately, the Sundance Film Festival films are full of heart and compassion for those living with social anxiety. Until the end, not much happened plot wise as everything remained inside like the rest of the movie but when the credits roll on this gem of a movie I’m full of emotion I noticed that
