Eastcott Veterinary Referrals has expanded its neurology department with the appointment of a new consultant.
Marcos Raposo Galvan, a neurology and neurosurgery consultant, joined the company after completing a three-year ECVN residency program.

Marcos said:
“During my training, I developed a particular interest in inflammatory central nervous system (CNS) diseases and the treatment of CNS tumors, including radiotherapy, an area of specialization in my new role.
“My goal is to continue to advance my neurosurgical knowledge and develop more complex techniques for my patients, such as hypophysectomy and other complex approaches.”
After graduating from the University of Leon in northern Spain in 2015, Marcos worked as a general practitioner for two years before completing a rotating internship at the Rof CodinaUniversity Veterinary Hospital at the University of Santiago de Compostela.
