The Cincinnati Bengals are not losing confidence heading into their Monday Night Football game against the Buffalo Bills.
Days after Tyler Boyd called Buffalo’s defense “kind of basic” and said the secondary wasn’t the best the team has seen this season, running back Joe Mixon sent Buffalo ahead of prime time. Decided to give materials for the bulletin board games.
When asked about Buffalo linebackers Matt Milano and Tremaine Edmonds, Mixon said the duo was good, but the level of linebackers the Bengals play twice a season, the Baltimore Ravens, has. said it hadn’t reached the roster.
“They’re a solid linebacker group, but they’re not the Ravens.” Mixon told The Athletic’s Jay Morrison.“I mean, they’re good. They get paid too. I’m not saying they’re not good. But they’re not the Ravens.”
Both Milan and Edmonds were named the AFC’s first linebacker alternates in the Pro Bowl. It could be the case that both players have careers.
In 14 games, Milan has 91 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, 9 passes defended, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 defensive touchdown.
Edmonds led Buffalo in tackles (95) and defended one sack and four passes that year. Edmonds has only missed one tackle in his 12 games this season.
Despite his impressive play in 2022, Mixon seems to be sleeping with the duo and the Bills’ entire roster.Cincinnati is the AFC’s “big dog,” according to Mixon.
“What people need to know and understand is that we are the AFC’s big dog.” Mixon told media on Saturday“Exactly. For anything to happen, it must pass through us.”
Buffalo silences Mixon and gets a chance to prove they are “big dogs” at the Monday night meeting.
