Adewale Giwa, senior pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ ministry, predicts that the chances of the All Progressive Congress (APC) winning the presidential election are not realistic.
Addressing his congregation on Sunday in Acre, the capital of Ondo state, Pastor Giwa said what could possibly happen is when Nigerians feign ignorance and decide to go to sleep.
Pastor Giwa is famous for being critical of the APC-led federal government, especially with regard to insecurity and the economy.
He warned voters to be careful not to sell their voting rights for peanuts.
According to him, Nigerians know how the government of President Muhammad Buhari and his party have plunged the country into its current economic coma.
Giwa says: They promised our children scholarships, but they ended up closing our higher education institution for almost a year. Most of their policies turned married women and young women into prostitutes. I can’t even imagine how the Yahoo boys took over the streets of Nigeria because the current government couldn’t provide them with jobs.
“Only if the Nigerians are asleep can the APC be in power again. I encourage you to prepare your PVC and vote for this ruling party.”
Giwa’s reaction came when the election umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), recently delivered the last batch of BVAS machines. It hopes to be deployed on a large scale in the conduct of the general election, which is scheduled to start in February this year. .
