Researchers have developed a freely available autism symptom scale to help screen for autism and monitor changes in symptoms over time. Studies on the development and validation of the Autism Symptom Dimensional Questionnaire (ASDQ) Developmental Medicine and Pediatric Neurology.
After the initial 33-item version was developed, a revised 39-item version of the ASDQ (available at https://prolific.co/) was tested in 1,467 individuals, including 104 with autism spectrum disorders. Applied to children and adolescents. The questionnaire was found to be reliable and valid in assessing autism symptoms across age, gender, race and ethnicity.
