
The Knox County 708 Mental Health Commission is accepting applications for funding for the 2023 grant cycle.

The Knox County Mental Health Commission was endorsed countywide. Referendum in the April 2017 elections.
It was established to meet the funding needs of persons or programs that provide treatment to local people affected by mental health, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and substance abuse problems.
The funding cycle runs from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024. All funds are deposited and invested in banks by the Knox County Treasurer. All payments are made through the accounting office after review by the county commission.
Local funds under the Knox County property tax are available to organizations/agencies/residents of Knox County, including commercial businesses.
Up to $1,600,000 in taxes will be awarded to fund local mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disability services.
