NY state trooper finds missing 2-year-old girl on top of mountain just before the sun set

The group first searched in and around your house, thinking that kids often go there to hide. They didnt discover her there, so they knocked on next-door neighbors doors, asking if they had seen the little woman.

The dispatcher had informed him that the girl was wearing a white skirt with a pink top, so he thought this could be it.

YouTube” We got her down to the base as quick as possible and as safely as possible where she was treated by Canandaigua ambulance and transferred for a fundamental check-over due to the components,” Hotchkiss said.

The sun was beginning to set but they still hadnt found the child. It seemed unlikely for a young child to stroll up a high hill, Hotchkiss and 2 other troopers chose to go up the mountain. They each took different paths.

Facebook” She was laying on her stomach on a rock,” Hotchkiss recalled. “I ran over to her as fast as possible and was calling her name. I saw her arm relocation and I understood she was alive. My heart simply dropped, I was so thrilled. I ran up and she hugged me immediately and she would not release.”

Hotchkiss signed up with a growing search group of other cannon fodders, deputies, and Sheriffs K-9 system. It was a nice day then, but the temperature level was dropping, which worried him the most.

” I understood I wouldnt be able to sleep in the evening if I didnt examine. I kept climbing up and climbing after about 45 minutes of the climb, I admired the top of the mountain and all I might see were trees and dirt,” he stated.

YouTubeHotchkiss said they got an overwhelming reaction, with many individuals wishing to help. The neighbors reached out to the others to participate locating the child.

When NY state trooper Brian Hotchkiss received a missing child report from South Bristol, he prepared for the worst.

YouTubeIt was 5:18 p.m. when the 911 center got the call about the young child who had wandered from her home. The temperature level was dropping and there was little daylight left, so the responders understood they had to act quickly.

When the report came in at their barracks in Farmington, the officer was about to follow up on a task on March 27.

As a trooper for 6 years and longer in police, Hotchkiss knew that missing-child cases could turn out badly.

The toddler shared a psychological reunion with her household. Fortunately, besides being soaking damp and shaken, she was safe.

When found and started crying when she saw the NY state cannon fodder, the little lady was shivering. Hotchkiss travelled down the mountain as quick as he could, and after 30 minutes, they were back on the ground.

Hotchkiss took his radio and notified the other searchers that he had found her at the top of the mountain. Trooper Jason Stirk wrapped the freezing kid in his uniform, and Hotchkiss brought her down the hill.

The case ended up being the concern, so Hotchkiss and another cannon fodder drove as fast as possible to South Bristol, where the 2-year-old child was reported missing out on from her house in County Road 33.

” I am blessed with how it ended up,” he said. “I knew there was only another 20 or thirty minutes of sunshine and it might have been a completely different game and turned into a completely different search.”

” She is safe and healthy and we are extremely happy that this was a positive outcome,” Ontario County Sheriff Kevin Henderson stated.

Hotchkiss knew he had to investigate, and when he finally got to the stream, he saw the child.

The trooper enjoys with how whatever turned out and stated this was an event in his career that he will always remember.

There, he found something that didnt belong: a “pink dot.”
