After a while, a park worker told him that the guy– whose name was Stanley Nelson– was attempting to utilize rainwater to shave his beard.

Travous described that a kid was taken into protective custody on the early morning of Saturday. He said the young boy was up for many of the night and was “tired.”.

Officer Thomas was assigned to Downtown Services when he saw a lady and her child offer a homeless guy a handout consisting of a razor, a shaving cream, and a water bottle.

They wanted the child to feel as comfy as possible, so Correctional Officer Litteken bought him diapers, a stuffed animal, and clean clothing. She spent for all of this using her own cash.

” You wont hear or see about this on the night news but this is something we handle regularly,” wrote Dan Travous, the acting chief deputy of the Clinton County Sheriffs Office in Carlyle, Illinois.

When Officer Thomas came by to inspect, he saw that the 62-year-old man was using a puddle to rinse the non reusable razor. When he approached him, Nelson believed he was being asked to leave. The kind officer said he just wanted to assist him shave.
