Mom stunned with neighborhood kids’ response to the ‘No Candy’ sign she posted in their yard

Updated: WOW at the shares and reactions ❤ Thank you to everybody for your kind words and prayers! We serve a devoted and mighty God and we hold tight to the promise of Romans 8:28, “And we understand that for those who enjoy God all things collaborate for great, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

The photo does not do it justice, its a LOT and the excellent stuff even.

The SOLE function people putting this indication in our yard today was so kids would not go to our door and be disappointed (our area usually gets 300-400 kids).

I searched our doorbell cam tonight and saw that kids had actually been stopping at the sign. T.j. Thomas and I just went outside and found this.

Thanks To Courtney ThomasI cant stop sobbing. If anyone believed there was no hope in our kids and teens youre incorrect.

Thanks To Courtney ThomasSeriously … If the moms and dads of anyone who did this sees this, PLEASE inform them just how much it means to us and our kiddos. On the very best candy night of the year kids freely and kindly shared with strangers and showed a lot love and kindness. Incredible!

Youth cancer is something we want no household ever had to withstand, however there is a lot love, hope, and support! If anybody feels caused support financially, these are 2 fantastic groups we know of and are so grateful for:

Thanks To Courtney ThomasHere are a few of the remarks from Facebook responding to this post:

” Awe your post has me in tears this early morning. From a fellow cancer mother I understand how much this indicates.

” I enjoy this. I need to say that Halloween was a lot various for my kids as compared to last year. Our child commemorated Halloween in the oncology clinic last year and the young boys didnt really get to do much considering that their sis could not go out. Ever since she has actually gone into remission and has actually been developing her strength back. This year she did get to go for a brief time and had a blast. Following all preventative measures obviously. I hope that your family has the very same chance next year.”– JC Oaks

Sharing, caring, and love for one another. Its gorgeous to see and hear these stories and acts of kindness especially now in this upside down world that we are living in. Keep up the great and continue to motivate their good behavior.”– Dawn Acevedo

On the best sweet night of the year kids easily and generously shared with strangers and showed so much love and compassion. I have to say that Halloween was so much different for my kids as compared to last year. Our daughter commemorated Halloween in the oncology center last year and the young boys didnt truly get to do much given that their sis couldnt go out. From a fellow cancer mother I understand how much this means.
